Personal Reflection ☃️
Another year over, and a mild winter in Minnesota so far. However, we've still got January and February to contend with. 🥶 The warmer temps and lack of snow allowed me to take my 30-mile bike ride along the Mississippi River, through downtown, and around the Minneapolis lakes on December 23rd. 🚴♀️ A first this late in the season. While grateful for the opportunity, I missed having snow on Christmas.❄️
I also had the splendid fortune and fun of baking holiday cookies with my mom early in December and hitting the oven again before Christmas—the highlight—learning my grandma's cut-out cookie frosting recipe. This recipe, consisting of four ingredients, is an understated gift of love. 🧁 Now, I get to pass the tasteful memories to Benjamin, Joey, and baby Nils. Thank you, Grandma Schueller. 🩷
