The Opportunity to Talk

The worst of it for me, and I think for Miríam, is that people are ashamed or maybe embarrassed. No one wants to talk about Aoife, as if all she ever was was a drug addict. Our beautiful girl reduced to just that. After she died, our friends and family tried not to mention her name. It was like she never existed. That's one of the reasons we're so grateful to Willa; she gave us the opportunity to talk.
