Personal Reflection π
82°one day, 19° three days later. Welcome, sinus infection. While I've appreciated the warm days, each tumble back to winter is increasingly unbearable. It snowed on April 20! Not cool.
Despite the cranky weather, I still get out for my daily morning ride or run. I have the great pleasure of having a colleague who's also a cyclist and is kindly willing to slow down to my pace so we can ride together. π©΅ You can learn a little about Mark in todayβs Article, Fishing with Dad. On our first adventure, we rode my typical route, which essentially follows the TC marathon course. I'm eager to take some of his routes as I prepare to ride the MRT with Jeanne in the coming months. π
Speaking of my MRT bike tour with Jeanne... π΄ββοΈ planning continues. I'm fortunate to have a bike built for this adventure (Salsa Cutthroat), but Jeanne is looking for something more suited than her road bike. I hope to see her new wheels and sort out some concrete plans when I see her in two weeks when I'm in Sun Prairie for the Witnessing Grief book discussion with ICF WI.
Our route is the Mississippi River Trail (MRT). Weβll start at the trailhead in Itasca State Park and ride down to Red Wing, MN, about 500 miles. I intend to use a GoPro to record our adventure and share it with all who wish to follow along. π₯ More to come on that!
I had my first Facebook Marketplace experience this past weekend after realizing that the gardening implements I acquired the summer after my dad died had become tangible reminders of my 2018 losses. I haven't done any gardening in three years, so I chose to part ways with most of what I had. I'm thrilled to report I sold nearly everything in one weekend, even some things I had yet to list for sale. I feel unburdened and spacious. Who knew? The few items I have left will stay on Marketplace until they sell or I make an alternate plan. And now that I've found freedom in purging, I'm keen and ready to continue the trend. ππ½
